VSRA President's Announcement |
William "Bill" Crow, VSRA President | With my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all of you, after much consideration and conversation with my family, I am sending this to announce my upcoming retirement as President of the Virginia Ship Repair Association and Executive Director of the Virginia Ship Repair Foundation. After 13 enjoyable years of my life serving in those capacities, and 30 years of wearing the Navy uniform, it’s time for me to pass the baton and begin the next chapter of my life. VSRF's 2024 Volunteer of the Year: Terry Stead |

This prestigious award highlights individuals who have played a vital role in supporting VSRF’s programs, workforce development initiatives, and community engagement efforts. This year, Terry Stead of Tecnico Corporation was recognized for his outstanding commitment to the Norfolk Technical Center’s Welding Program. Terry has dedicated countless hours to mentoring junior and senior welding students, providing guest instruction, evaluating senior projects, and conducting mock interviews to prepare students for careers in the ship repair industry.
