The Outreach Training Program for Maritime Industry Safety and Health, up-to-date OSHA Maritime Standards, and current status as an Authorized Outreach Trainer, the students will be able to demonstrate continued professional development in their field by applying effective adult learning principles and interactive training techniques to clearly identify, define and explain maritime industry hazards and acceptable corrective measures in accordance with the 29 CFR 1915, 1917, 1918 and 1919 OSHA Maritime Standards as they continue to teach 10- and 30- hour courses. This course is being provided by NRC-WVU OTIEC
Objectives:
- Describe the most current process, requirements, recommendations, and resources for the OSHA outreach trainer program.
- Upon the successful completion of this course, participants will be able to incorporate effective planning and delivery techniques into their 10 and 30 hour Outreach Training Program offerings.
- Discuss updates in OSHA’s Maritime Standards and policy since 2005
- Participants will be able to identify the most common hazards and explain corrective action surface preparation and preservation.
