On August 1st, 2013 VSRA and Colonna's Ship Yard will be hosting a presentation on ship repair occupations and tour of a ship yard for welding and electrical instructors of the VA Assoc. of Trade and Industrial Educators. The event will begin with a lunch at Noon and proceed with a tour of Colonna's Ship Yard. Colonna's was Founded in 1875; it is the oldest family owned full service private shipyard in the United States. Serving both commercial and defense customers, Colonna's will expose instructors to a variety of hsops, facilities and applications in the ship repair industry. The tour will culminate with a discussion and access to new virtual training technology.
