As you may know, there have been continuing issues with a difference in interpretation of the Tag-out User’s Manual (TUMs) regarding the definition of “adequacy” with regards to TUMs and WAFs. Industry has been afforded the opportunity to submit a proposal stipulating in detail what will and will not be done with regards to tag-out, which would then be reviewed by and reconciled with MARMC.
VSRA Safety and Quality Assurance Committees are creating a TUMs Subcommittee to propose recommendations and provide a solution for these ongoing issues with TUMs interpretation. This Subcommittee will consist of QMB & SMB Committee members, in an effort to provide the best possible recommendation.
