VSRA General Membership & FMMS Joint Luncheon Meeting

For the month of September, in lieu of our regularly scheduled VSRA General Membership Luncheon Meeting, we will be participating in a joint luncheon meeting with the Fleet Maintenance & Modernization Symposium (FMMS). .

NAVSEA Cableway (Sept 19-23) CANCELED

This course is under the oversight of AMSEC and upon successful completion attendees will receive a NAVSEA Cableway Certification card. The cableway program provides NAVSEA Cableway training and certification to students.

VSRA General Membership Luncheon Meeting MOVED to the 13th for the FMMS Joint Luncheon

VSRA Board of Directors meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the odd numbered months. The General Membership Luncheon meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month. The Chairman of the VSRA Board and the VSRA committee chairs report to the general membership at the monthly meeting, followed by a guest speaker's presentation. Each member company may have its designated representatives present at the general membership monthly luncheon meeting and is welcome to invite company guests.

Contracts Seminar: Ethics & Standards of Conduct

OSHA 10 Hour Maritime Course #7615 (Sept 21-22)

The OSHA-10 hour course awards the 10-hour certification card and meets all of the mandated regulations for the Maritime Industry (OSHA Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1915) course 7615 in a format that specifically addresses the challenges and environmental conditions specific to the shipyards. In addition, ship yard specific regulations and issues are covered in depth. Instructors are authorized by OSHA endorsed certification programs. The completion card is valid for 5 years at which time the course must be repeated. Our instructors an OSHA accepted certified to conduct this class and certified to award certification cards. Cards are issued through the Instructor's certifying body. All book, material and certification costs are covered in the course fee.

Standard Items (Sept 26-27)

This is a 2 day course that explains the history and purpose of the NAVSEA Standard Items.
