Summary of duties – Program Manager III assists the Senior Program Manager and is empowered to act for the SPM in his / her absence. He or she is responsible for the daily operations of the Program Management Office and ensures efficiency in administration of tasks.  

 

Specific description of duties

  • Assure that conduct of contract requirements is executed in accordance with appropriate regulations and Company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts.
  • Allocate and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel, including change order management requirements.
  • Responsible for project and financial reporting activities, reviews, and presentations to Senior Management.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
  • Provide leadership to project team and assure communication and cooperation among team members exists.
  • Maintain close communication with the customer during the project life cycle and beyond.
  • Interface with customers and subcontractors to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage ongoing customer activity while resolving customer issues.
  • Assure a timely closeout of completed programs to ensure that all obligations are satisfied, and project documentation is properly recorded.
  • Identify opportunities for additional work scope and follow-on prospects.
  • Possession of an active State Driver’s License is required.
  • Overtime may be required but not guaranteed.
  • Occasional travel outside the local area may be required.
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization’s mission, objectives, and goals

 

Education / Specialized training

  • Master’s degree and two years, or bachelor’s degree and six years, or associate degree and ten years, or twelve years related experience. Degree should be in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Four years’ experience in managing federal Cost Reimbursable, Fixed Price and / or Time & Material contracts.
  • Four years’ experience in the acquisition, installation, and life cycle support of military command, control, communication, computer, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems and equipment.

 

Security Clearance – Citizenship requirement

  • Clearance up to secret level may be required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Passport

 

Physical/Environmental Job Requirements

  • Lifting/moving up to and including 50 pounds
  • Routinely climbing several flights of stairs
  • Performing tasks in confined spaces

 

Our work is primarily onboard naval vessels that may include variables of physical activity, i.e., stooping, climbing, walking, etc. 

 

In performing these duties, you may be required to work outdoors.  You will experience temperature variations, extremely loud noises, and other physical hazards.
