Summary of duties – The Warehouse Specialist I assists with the physical inventory of all material and Government Furnished Material. The Warehouse Specialist II assists and supervises with the physical inventory of all material and Government Furnished Material. This will include the processing of the material through the purchasing program and the staging and stocking of material for the proper task utilizing the approved applicable forms. Duties will include the upkeep of the warehouse in an orderly fashion and issuing of material to the proper personnel. Periodically required to lift/move equipment up to and including 50 pounds.

Specific description of duties:

Level I

  • To include but are not limited to assisting in storage and staging of various tools/ materials; transportation of tools/material to the worksite; physically loading and unloading delivery vehicles; route mapping skills; general cleanup/daily housekeeping; and heavy lifting of tools/ material/equipment.
  • Must be able to drive various size and type trucks up to 26-feet.

Level I, II

  • Receives and inspects materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Organizes issuing and receiving of material to the delivery of material to the customer.
  • Keeps the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Receives shipments of materials and compares the items against purchase orders to detect errors or omissions.
  • Assists in physical inventory, research of inventory and reports any errors to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Takes corrective action with quality control personnel, customers, and vendors on defective or unacceptable goods or services as reported to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Process and deliver material to all sites in a reasonable and timely manner. Periodic driving records (annual) may be requested for review from State DMV facilities.  If unsatisfactory records occur disciplinary actions may result.
  • Arranges, boxes, or crates material for shipment.
  • Applies understanding of the receiving process, responsibilities and ethical standards necessary for US Government, commercial and international material and services procurements. Follows FAR/DFAR guidelines and Prism Maritime LLC to process material.
  • Overtime will be required 
  • Travel outside the local area may be required
  • Possession of an active State Driver’s License is required
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization’s mission, objectives and goals.

Education/Specialized Training:

Level I:

  • HS diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, effective negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge and skills regarding inventory processing and control.
  • Experience in maintaining stock.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Possess or have ability to obtain forklift certification

Level II:

  • HS diploma or GED is required
  • 5 years of direct experience with the physical inventory of Contract Furnished Material and Government Furnished Material.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, effective negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge and skills regarding inventory processing and control.
  • Experience in maintaining stock.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Possess or have ability to obtain forklift certification

Security Clearance:

  • Clearance up to secret level may be required.
  • US Citizenship required.

Physical/Environmental Job Requirements:
Physical requirements include the following:

  • Lifting/moving up to and including 50 pounds
  • Routinely climbing several flights of stairs
  • Performing tasks in confined spaces

Our work may require variables of physical activity, i.e. stooping, climbing, walking, etc. 

In performing these duties, you may be required to work outdoors.  You will experience temperature variations, extremely loud noises and other physical hazards.
