Electrical Engineer

As a rapidly growing small business, we are looking for multiple Electrical Engineers who are able to provide quality deliverables and help grow our business. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to perform engineering, electrical design, and interface with the client. Ultimately this person will be responsible for engineering deliverables for the U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), and other customers.

Responsibilities

  • Working as a team to review and approve engineering and technical deliverables.
  • Perform Electrical Engineering analysis using a variety of engineering tools.
  • Quality Assurance of all engineering deliverables.
  • Client facing.
  • Develop drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Assist the PM in business development and customer relations.
  • Expect 10% domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of proven experience in electrical engineering.
  • Existing knowledge and understanding of industry practices and requirements.
  • Must be technology-focused with a good background using and implementing technology into business processes.
  • Proven history interfacing with the client.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • BS/BE in Engineering.
  • U.S. Navy, USCG, or MSC Experience is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain or get a Secret level security clearance.
  • Internal Communications, Power & Light, or Combat Systems preferred.

Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, and power generation equipment. Electronics engineers design and develop electronic equipment, such as broadcast and communications systems—from portable music players to global positioning systems (GPS).
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in electronic systems development
Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop schematics, layouts, BOM, write technical specifications, develop device and system level specification for internal use and/or external vendors or consultants

Experience in the Following:
Design of complex power systems, analog/digital, PLC, sensory/control circuits
Experience working with electro/mechanical technicians for parts and system integration
Interface with outside vendors, consultants, and driving external design resources
Proficiency in development of schematics and layouts
Proficiency in use of AutoCAD and or Inventor 3D modeling and collaboration
Knowledge of electrical codes and related regulations
Organize, analyze, interpret, and evaluate electrical engineering problems and prediction of results
Estimate labor or material costs from blueprints or work plans
Work cooperatively with others
Review or check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards
