Position Title: Program Manager IV

Summary of duties – Manage complex technical programs, particularly related to ship alterations, ship change documents, and ordinance alterations, with a strong focus on systems integration, design, and delivery for naval vessels.  

Specific description of duties –

·         Assure that conduct of contract requirements is executed in accordance with appropriate regulations and Company policies and procedures.

·         Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts.

·         Allocate and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel, including change order management requirements.

·         Responsible for project and financial reporting activities, reviews, and presentations to Senior Management.

·         Ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

·         Provide leadership to project team and assure communication and cooperation among team members exists.

·         Maintain close communication with the customer during the project life cycle and beyond.

·         Interface with customers and subcontractors to ensure customer satisfaction.

·         Monitor and manage ongoing customer activity while resolving customer issues.

·         Assure a timely closeout of completed programs to ensure that all obligations are satisfied, and project documentation is properly recorded.

·         Identify opportunities for additional work scope and follow-on prospects.

·         Possession of an active State Driver’s License is required.

·         Overtime may be required but not guaranteed.

·         Occasional travel outside the local area may be required.

·         Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization’s mission, objectives, and goals

Education / Specialized training/ Experience – 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or managerial discipline.
  • Ten + years’ professional experience in program/ project management
  • Background in shipboard operations, including planning and executing Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) and overseeing the modification and installation of various systems as related to complex alterations and compliance with technical specifications.

Security Clearance – Citizenship requirement

  • Clearance up to secret level may be required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Passport

Physical/Environmental Job Requirements –

  • Lifting/moving up to and including 50 pounds
  • Routinely climbing several flights of stairs
  • Performing tasks in confined spaces

 

Our work is primarily onboard naval vessels that may include variables of physical activity, i.e., stooping, climbing, walking, etc. 

In performing these duties, you may be required to work outdoors.  You will experience temperature variations, extremely loud noises, and other physical hazards.
