Service Engineer Purpose of the Role: This position is responsible for providing installation, repair, and maintenance work for the Macgregor USA, Inc. product range Reports to: Region Service Manager MacGregor USA, Inc. Accountabilities: 1. Responsibility within MacGregor USA including refurbishment, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and repairs to MacGregor and equivalent 3rd party equipment 2. Carry out onboard inspections of equipment 3. Communicate information regarding service needs to customer 4. Develop and maintain contact with key decision makers of Vessel Owners/Operators, shipyards, engineering design/consulting companies, etc. 5. Monitor & report potential service opportunities 6. Assist in problem resolution between customer and company 7. Know, understand and comply with Macgregor’s Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions 8. Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements 9. Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical restraints of the job Knowledge, Qualifications and Attitudes: Knowledge of Vessel market, operators and activities Ability to maintain and demonstrate customer service skills, including possessing solid reputation for follow up and handling customer requests and complaints Valid Driver’s License Passport Competencies: Minimum 3+ years of experience in marine industry Good working knowledge of PLC programming a must Ability to participate in cross functional teams Ability to work independently Customer oriented Analytical Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite Engineering degree preferred For further information please contact Laura Geyer: laura.geyer@cargotec.com Please submit your resume and salary requirements to laura.geyer@cargotec.com.

Electronics engineers design and develop electronic equipment, such as broadcast and communications systems—from portable music players to global positioning systems (GPS).
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in electronic systems development
Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop schematics, layouts, BOM, write technical specifications, develop device and system level specification for internal use and/or external vendors or consultants

Experience in the Following:
Design of complex power systems, analog/digital, PLC, sensory/control circuits
Experience working with electro/mechanical technicians for parts and system integration
Interface with outside vendors, consultants, and driving external design resources
Proficiency in development of schematics and layouts
Proficiency in use of AutoCAD and or Inventor 3D modeling and collaboration
Knowledge of electrical codes and related regulations
Organize, analyze, interpret, and evaluate electrical engineering problems and prediction of results
Estimate labor or material costs from blueprints or work plans
Work cooperatively with others
Review or check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards
