Lead Blaster/Sprayer

The incumbent will act as the Lead Blaster/Sprayer during the application process of Thermal Spray nonskid. Directly responsible for managing a team of up to four people, hours, equipment, equipment set-up, robotic operation, support equipment and all other factions that is required to apply Thermal Spray nonskid. Summary of responsibilities:  The ability to perform blasting and painting operations onboard Naval vessels  The ability to operate and provide a blast profile to steel substrate in accordance to Navy standards  The ability to operate industrial vacuum and dust collecting equipment  The ability and understanding of erecting small and large containment units used for blasting and spraying operations  Working knowledge of electrical connections of industrial equipment  Troubleshooting procedures for small and large support equipment  The ability to assemble and disassemble robotic equipment (training will be provided)  The ability to be a certified forklift driver  The ability to recognize and implement process improvements  The ability to perform quality assurance functions and submit required documentation  Perform preventative maintenance on robotic equipment and update documentation  Properly manage inventory and supplies to mitigate any wasted use of material and material support Key requirements:  Ability to get RapidGate access  Valid driver’s license  A minimum of 5 years of experience working on ships or in Shipyard environment  Willingly able to travel for extended periods of time  Work flexible hours  Experience with Thermal Spraying is desired but not a requirement  The ability to pass drug screening For more info : www.thermalsprayusa.com
