VSRA General Membership Luncheon Meeting

VSRA Board of Directors meetings are held on the odd numbered months. The General Membership Luncheon meetings are held every month.

                                           The December 6th HR Committee Meeting has been Canceled.

Contracts Committee Meeting

VSRA CONTRACTS COMMITTEE 

The next Contracts Committee Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 7 at 8:30 a.m., in-person and with Zoom, at the Virginia Ship Repair Association (VSRA) Offices: 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500, Norfolk, VA 23510. Seating will be limited, so you MUST RSVP to attend in-person.

This will be our annual recap of the Committee’s past year and planning session for the upcoming calendar year.  Please join us and contribute your ideas for next year’s presentations to make our committee experience even better.

OSHA 10 Hour Maritime Industry Course (December 11-12)

The OSHA-10 hour course awards the 10-hour certification card and meets all of the mandated regulations for the Maritime Industry (OSHA Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1915) course in a format that specifically addresses the challenges and environmental conditions specific to the shipyards. In addition, ship yard specific regulations and issues are covered in depth. Instructors are authorized by OSHA endorsed certification programs. Cards are issued through the Instructor's certifying body. All book, material and certification costs are covered in the course fee.

Workforce Development Committee Meeting

Join the VSRA Workforce Development Committee for a meeting in-person or virtually via Zoom!

The meeting’s topic is Offshore Wind and this initiative’s impact on, and opportunities for the Tidewater maritime industry. Representatives from Dominion Energy, Oceantic, Tidewater Community College, and Centura College will provide informative presentations about Offshore Wind business opportunities and ongoing initiatives to take this budding industry to the next level of operations along Virginia's coastal area. As well, Wind Technician training programs for ensuring safe and efficient service and repair of Offshore Wind facilities and equipment. 

Parking is available at the Town Point Garage. Please be sure to bring your ticket to have your parking validated.
