Human Resources Committee Meeting

The Security Committee and HR Committee will have a combined meeting on Tuesday, July 2^nd. 

We will have a presenter from the Department of Homeland Security who will provide a presentation on the new I-9 Form and information on E-Verify.  As you may know, many of our Security and HR professionals have dual duties wearing the Security & HR hats for their company.  

Our guest will be Mr. Dave Basham, Management & Program Analyst from U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, Outreach Branch/Verification Division.  Mr. Basham is one of a half dozen presenters/SMEs (subject matter experts) that speak on both the Form I-9 and/or E-Verify and is based out of headquarters in Washington, D.C.  Generally, his I-9 presentation runs approximately 50 minutes, but depending on the size of our group and the amount of questions asked, it could run a little longer.

Contracts Committee Meeting

The Contracts Committee will meet the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m., at the VSRA Offices, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500 (5th Floor East), Norfolk, VA  23510.  We are located in the World Trade Center building.

NAVSEA Cableway (July 8-12)

This course is under the oversight of AMSEC and upon successful completion attendees will receive a NAVSEA Cableway Certification card. The cableway program provides NAVSEA Cableway training and certification to students.

Quality Management Board (QMB) Meeting

The QMB / Quality Assurance Committee  combined meeting will be held on the second Tuesday of every ODD month starting at 9:00 a.m., at the VSRA Offices, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500 (5th Floor East), Norfolk, VA  23510.  We are located in the World Trade Center building.  The QA Committee session will begin immediately following the QMB session.

NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector Course PREP (July 10-12)

This is perfect for workers who are going to attend the NBPI certification class or who need to retake the course/exam.

Navsea Basic Paint Inspector Certification (July 15-19)

VSRA is one of the few organizations authorized to instruct this very specialized course.

VSRA General Membership Luncheon Meeting

VSRA Board of Directors meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, followed by a lunch meeting with the general membership. The Chairman of the VSRA Board and the VSRA committee chairs report to the general membership at the monthly meeting, followed by a guest speaker's presentation. Each member company may have its designated representatives present at the general membership monthly luncheon meeting and is welcome to invite company guests.

Communications Committee Meeting

The Communications Committee meets the 4^th Wednesday of the EVEN months, at 9:30 a.m., at the VSRA Office, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500 (5th Floor East), Norfolk, VA  23510.  We are located in the World Trade Center building.
