RECENT NEW MEMBER COMPANY

At the April meeting, the Board of Directors approved one new member company.  The new member company is Radio Holland USA, Inc.  This brings our membership total to 233 companies.

Mal Branch, President/CEO of the Virginia Ship Repair Association since 2003, retired in May.  Mr. Ron Ritter will be the interim President.

2012 LEGO Winners!!!

Another LEGO competition has come to an end. Our 6th Annual LEGO competition was a success! The winning teams and their recieved prizes are as follows:

1st Place- The Academy of International Studies at Rosemont ($500.00 check and purchase of their LEGO design) CLICK HERE to see the winning entry.

2012 VSRA Career Days Summary

We want to thank each of our volunteers who participated in the 2012 Career Days held at schools around Hampton Roads! Our volunteer teams reached over 5,061 students in 15 schools. This is a valuable program that saves our member companies a great deal of time and money by consolidating our efforts.

The summer months bring hot, sunny weather that many of us look forward to throughout the year.  But for those who earn their living working outside in a variety of labor-intensive industries such as construction, farming, firefighting, mining, manufacturing, maritime  and many others, this time of the year—and certainly National Safety Month—is definitely the right time to take some very necessary precautions that can save lives as heat becomes a health and safety factor.
